Gifts for the home

Personalised oak gifts for the home, from a doorstop and a chopping board to a butter dish, nibbles tray, treat jar, lead rack and dog gate, with a wool rug alongside. Several product pages suggest them for weddings, Christmas, house warmings and birthdays, with a name, date or short message engraved.

Buying guide and FAQs

Wording and engraving

Each piece has its own limit, so it helps to choose the wording first. The small chopping board takes up to 15 characters, the white oiled butter dish up to 70 letters, and the treat jar page recommends a maximum of 8 letters per line over 2 lines. The doorstop can be engraved on 1, 2, 3 or 4 sides in hand-engraved capital letters, and its page suggests a house name, a couple’s names, a dog’s name or a date. The nibbles tray and the butter dish also offer ready-made wording to choose from, or you can enter your own.

Sizes

The doorstop is 14 x 14 x 23cm (43cm high including the rope) and weighs about 4kg. The small chopping board is 26 x 16 x 2cm. The nibbles tray measures 370 x 130 x 35mm and comes with three glass trays that can go in the dishwasher. The lead rack is 37 x 13 x 3.5cm. The treat jar comes in three sizes from 0.95 to 1.89 litres, and the wool rug in four sizes from 70 x 100cm to 140 x 200cm.

Is the oak dog gate made to measure?

Yes. The product page describes the gate as bespoke and made to measure. Most gates are about 800mm x 600mm, and the page says the dimensions are checked with you after you order, with slightly larger or smaller sizes included at no extra cost. The feet are not fixed, and there are two leg options, one for the bottom of stairs and one for a doorway. Please put your measurements in the notes section when you order, and check the product page for the lead time.

Where are the oak gifts made?

The treat jar, nibbles tray, white oiled butter dish and small chopping board product pages say they are made in the UK, and the doorstop page says the engraving is done by hand in a workshop in Kent. The wool rug is made in England from British wool. Please check the product page for any other piece.

Is there free delivery on gifts for the home?

Delivery is free to the UK mainland on orders over £75. Dispatch times differ by piece, so the dispatch time is shown on each product page.
