How to choose my faux fur blanket

Pick the pile. Supreme blankets (Wild Rabbit, Grey Squirrel) have the deepest fur, up to 2.5cm, and look almost real. Softee blankets have a shorter, denser, silkier pile that is easier to keep looking new.

Pick the colour for the dog, not just the room. A two-tone Supreme or a grey or brown Softee hides hairs from dark coats. Ivory and Sandstone suit pale dogs and light rooms.

Pick the size by where it lives. Small (54 x 54cm) for a puppy, a toy breed or a crate. Medium (74 x 74cm) for most dog beds. Large (94 x 94cm) for big dogs and sofa seats. Bed throw (150 x 100cm) for your bed or a large sofa.

Burrower? Choose the Snuggle Sac: a blanket, a sleeping bag and a donut bed in one.

Faux fur dog blanket FAQs

Are faux fur blankets safe for dogs? Yes. These are woven faux furs, not loose-fibre fleeces, so they do not shed, and the velboa backing has no loops for claws to catch in.

What size faux fur dog blanket do I need?

For a blanket to curl up on, measure your dog from nose to base of tail while they are curled and choose a blanket a little larger than that. For a throw over a sofa or the end of a bed, measure the area and pick the nearest size up. The sizes are Small 54 x 54cm, Medium 74 x 74cm, Large 94 x 94cm and Bed throw 150 x 100cm.

How do I wash a faux fur dog blanket?

Machine wash on a cool cycle, on its own, with no bleach or fabric softener. Do not tumble dry. Shake it out and dry it flat or over an airer, then fluff the fur with your fingers.

What is the difference between Supreme and Softee faux fur?

Supreme blankets, such as Wild Rabbit and Grey Squirrel, have the deepest pile, up to 2.5cm, and look almost real. Softee blankets have a shorter, denser, silkier pile that is easier to keep looking new.

Which faux fur blanket colour hides dog hair?

A two-tone Supreme, or a grey or brown Softee, hides hairs from dark coats. Ivory and Sandstone suit pale dogs and light rooms.

Where are your faux fur dog blankets made and how long do they take?

Each blanket is made to order in England by our faux fur maker and sent as soon as it is finished, so allow a few extra days on top of our usual dispatch. The dispatch time is shown on each product page.
