The Stripe Denim Box Cushion Dog Bed by Danish Design is a structured, deep-sided box cushion in a classic denim-look blue stripe — made in the UK with recycled fibre filling and a bold, graphic fabric that is built to last. The raised box sides give dogs something to lean against, while the generously padded base provides a firm, comfortable sleeping surface.

Box cushion beds sit somewhere between a flat mattress and a bolster bed — the low padded walls give a sense of enclosure and a resting edge without the fully enclosed feel of a deep slumber bed. Made at Danish Design’s Leeds factory, the filling is fire retardant to British Standard 5852. The cover is removable and washable, and spare covers are available. Available in multiple sizes.

What is the difference between a box cushion and a slumber bed?
A slumber bed has deep, fully upright bolster sides all the way around creating a cosy enclosed nest. A box cushion has lower padded sides that form a shallow tray shape — it gives dogs a perimeter to lean against while leaving more freedom of movement in the centre. Ideal for dogs who want some support but not full enclosure.
