Puppy’s first collar!
We are delighted to bring you this range of soft leather puppy collars that are handmade to order for us by a family run saddlery in England. The softest, most durable leather is used for the outside and each small collar is backed on the inside with soft supple calf leather, making these collars ideal for delicate puppy necks.
They are available in a range of sizes to suit your growing puppy and come in a variety of great colour choices. The puppy collars are all lined with cream soft leather.
Please note these collars are 1/2″ wide so that they are not too heavy or wide for the puppy’s neck. You can also buy a matching 3ft lead which will be 5/8″ in width.
Also suitable for small or toy breeds.
Measuring for puppy collars
It is important that you choose the right size of collar for your puppy.
These collars are handmade to your dog’s neck size.
Using a flexible tape measure*, measure the circumference of your puppy’s neck where the collar is normally worn. The tape measure should fit comfortably around the neck without being too lapse or too tight – it should be snug but a comfortable fit. The measurement you get is the “neck size” to use when ordering collars. Please choose the EXACT CIRCUMFERENCE of your dog’s neck NOT the total length of the collar you require.
(* please note that if you don’t have a flexible tape measure you can use a piece of string/ribbon or similar to measure your puppy’s neck and then measure this against a tape/ruler)
Each collar is made from two layers of gorgeously soft cowhide which are machine stitched together. They are then securely riveted around strong chromed steel fittings.
Our puppy collars can also be used for smaller breeds as they are soft and light.
Notes:
Lead length is based on the length of the cowhide. Anywhere from 36″ – 40″ (approx 90cm – 1m)

Estimated Delivery: 6 – 10 days. With the exception of annual holidays.
Please note these products are handmade to order so whilst you will usually receive them within 10 days please allow 14 days for delivery in UK.
Outside UK – We are unable to deliver handmade collars outside the UK. We apologise for any inconvenience.
DOG ID TAG
The “Talk to the Paw” and “Have your people call my people” ID tag makes the perfect gift for a cheeky dog.
The solid dog ID tags are made from silver-plated brass.
The tag is 28mm in diameter and 2mm in width. (Please note that that this size could be too large for tiny dogs and pups)
Please note the tags need to be engraved at an engravers store (key cutters).
If using as an ID tag in the UK, the Control of Dogs Order 1992 states that any dog in a public place must wear a collar or engraved tag with the name and address (including postcode) of the owner.
Returns
Faulty goods.
If goods develop a fault within 6 months from the date of receipt, we will exchange or repair the product provided the fault has occurred due to general wear and tear or, of course, if there has been a product part failure. Unfortunately, ‘general wear and tear’ doesn’t include products that have been … chewed on by puppies, drawn on by children, worn in the sea or river, scratched at by claws, in contact with flea treatment and or generally not treated with due care and attention.

To keep your collar looking fresh, simply wipe over with a slightly damp cloth and then dry.
