The Dog Crate Bedding Set in Grey by Danish Design is a complete crate mat and bumper set in a clean, contemporary grey — made in the UK and designed to make any wire crate feel like a proper, comfortable retreat. The padded floor mat and bumper sides create a warmer, more enclosed den that dogs settle into quickly.
Grey is the most versatile colour in the crate bedding range — a clean neutral that works in any room and hides everyday marks well. Made at Danish Design’s Leeds factory from soft, durable fabric with fire retardant filling to British Standard 5852. The mat fits the crate floor snugly and the bumper wraps the interior sides, reducing the bare metal feel and creating a more den-like space. Machine washable. Available in five sizes.
Is the Grey Crate Bedding Set washable?
Yes. Both the mat and bumper covers are removable and machine washable. Grey is a very practical colour for this purpose — it hides light marks and washes cleanly without fading.
What crate sizes does this fit?
Five sizes: 18″, 24″, 30″, 36″ and 42″. These match standard wire crate dimensions. The 18″ suits small puppy crates, the 24″–30″ fit medium dogs, the 36″–42″ suit large and giant breeds.
Why does the bumper padding matter?
Bumper pads cushion dogs against the wire sides of the crate — important for dogs that press against the sides when sleeping, for puppies that may push their nose through the bars, and for any dog that finds a bare metal crate too cold or stark to settle in comfortably. The bumper also adds insulation, making the crate interior noticeably warmer.
