Danish Design has been making dog beds in Leeds, Yorkshire since 1981. The Harbour Paws design is part of their Sherpa Fleece collection — the soft knitted fleece fabric is designed for superior warmth and comfort, and the rich marine blue with the signature paw print gives this bed a distinctive, characterful look. It is available in a plain grey version or the printed Harbour Paws pattern, both sharing the same construction and quality.

The high bolster sides and removable central mattress are filled with 100% recycled PET fibre — made at the Danish Design factory by shredding plastic bottles, cleansing them and heating the material to form a soft thermal fibre. The filling is fire retardant to British Standard 5852. The outer sherpa fleece is knitted in the UK and designed to stay soft and retain its shape through repeated machine washing.

Is the Harbour Paws bed machine washable?
Yes. The whole bed is machine washable. The central mattress is removable for quicker cleaning between full washes. The polyester filling does not absorb water and dries quickly, so your dog is not left without their bed for long.

What sizes are available?
The Harbour Paws bed comes in five sizes. The 18″ (45cm) suits small breeds. The 24″ (61cm) is ideal for Cocker Spaniels and similar medium-small breeds. The 30″ (76cm) works for Springer Spaniels and Border Collies. The 35″ (89cm) fits Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Standard Poodles. The 40″ (101cm) is for large and giant breeds. Measure your dog from nose to tail while sleeping and add some extra space for comfort.

Is sherpa fleece warm enough for winter?
Yes. Sherpa fleece is one of the warmest bed fabrics available. Combined with the high, well-stuffed bolster sides that block draughts from all directions, this bed creates a genuinely warm sleeping environment — ideal for dogs that feel the cold, thin-coated breeds, older dogs, or simply for use in cooler areas of the home.
