The Arctic Snuggle Bolster Dog Bed by Danish Design is a deep, wide bolster bed with low sides — designed for dogs who like to sprawl out while still having something soft to lean against. Made in the UK by Danish Design and available with a choice of fillings, it is one of the most generous sleeping spaces in the range.

The Arctic design uses a soft grey faux suede or sherpa-type fabric (depending on the variant selected) for a plush, contemporary feel. The low bolster sides provide a gentle raise around the perimeter — enough for dogs to rest their chin or press against, without the fully enclosed feel of a deep slumber bed. The spacious middle is ideal for dogs who like to lay out. Made at Danish Design’s Leeds factory, the filling is fire retardant to British Standard 5852.

Both the bed and mattress can be washed. The mattress is removable for a quick clean between full washes. Available in multiple sizes and filling options.

What sizes are available?
The Arctic Snuggle comes in 23″ (62x50cm), 28″ (76x63cm) and 34″ (90x74cm). The 23″ suits Cocker Spaniels and smaller breeds. The 28″ works for Springer Spaniels and medium dogs. The 34″ fits Labradors and large breeds who like to sprawl.

What is the difference between the Arctic Snuggle and a Slumber Bed?
The Slumber Bed has deep, fully upright bolster sides creating an enclosed feeling. The Arctic Snuggle has lower sides giving a more open sleeping space — better for dogs that want some support without feeling enclosed. It offers the best of both worlds for dogs that are somewhere between a sprawler and a curler.

Is this suitable for older dogs?
Yes. The lower sides make it easier for older dogs or dogs with mobility issues to get in and out compared to a deep bolster bed. The generous flat middle provides a well-padded lying area without restricting movement.
