The Flying Birds Slumber Dog Bed by Danish Design x FatFace is a high-sided bolster bed featuring two beautiful bird print designs in fresh blue and white tones, made in the UK and filled with 100% recycled fibre from plastic bottles. Part of the Danish Design FatFace collaboration, this bed pairs genuine sustainability credentials with the kind of design quality you would expect from one of Britain’s most loved lifestyle brands.

The Flying Birds design uses two complementary FatFace bird prints — both printed on 100% cotton, both supporting more sustainable cotton farming. Made fully in the UK at Danish Design’s Leeds factory, the collection is filled with 100% recycled PET fibre made from plastic bottles. The whole bed is machine washable.

The high bolster sides and central mattress are both filled with 100% recycled PET fibre, fire retardant to British Standard 5852. The outer cotton fabric is durable and colourfast through machine washing. The polyester filling does not absorb water, so the bed dries quickly after a wash.

Is the Flying Birds Slumber Bed machine washable?
Yes. The whole bed can be machine washed. The central mattress is removable for quicker cleaning. Because the polyester filling does not retain moisture, the bed dries quickly and is ready to use again the same day.

What size do I need?
Five sizes are available. The 18″ (45cm) suits small breeds including Pugs, Chihuahuas and Toy Poodles. The 24″ (61cm) is ideal for Cocker Spaniels and Border Terriers. The 30″ (76cm) works for Springer Spaniels and similar medium breeds. The 35″ (89cm) fits Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Flat-Coated Retrievers. The 40″ (101cm) is for larger breeds.
