The Koala is a bed with beautiful depth — deep warm brown at the root of each fibre fading to ivory at the tip, so it shifts from sandy and light when stroked one way to richly brown when ruffled. For your dog, it is simply the softest, most enveloping place they have ever slept. The chinchilla-soft faux fur covers every surface inside and out, and the deeply stuffed raised donut sides wrap around them as they curl up — giving anxious dogs, rescue dogs and puppies the gentle enclosed security that helps them feel safe enough to truly rest. Care instructions
Can be washed in the machine on a 30 degree delicates wash and spin. Once out of the machine give the bed a good shake and dry naturally. Manipulate the stuffing whilst drying, every few hours. Give the bed a good shake once dry.
They will stay fabulously soft time after time.
These beds should be kept away from heat. Do not tumble dry.
Can be dry cleaned. For larger beds we recommend dry cleaning.

Donut bed filling - good to know!
The beds are deeply stuffed. This means they are suitable for all dogs. With use, the padding will sink slightly as it becomes more compressed. For this reason the beds arrive very full to counteract this and always provide a deeply stuffed and comfortable bed. A shake will fluff the bed up every now and again and after washing. If your dog is light, you may want to press the bed down slightly so they sink in quicker. Alternatively if you want it much more "squidgy" rather than stuffed, let us know in a note at checkout. The beds are made to order so we can take out some stuffing if required.
The Koala Supreme Faux Fur Calming Donut Dog Bed is designed by The Stylish Dog Company — a colour with a quiet, natural depth that photographs cannot fully capture. Each fibre is a deep warm brown at the root, fading gradually to ivory at the tip, so when the fur lies smooth it reads as a soft light neutral, almost sandy. But run your hand against the pile and the rich dark brown underneath comes forward immediately. It shifts between tones depending on how your dog moves through it, how the light falls and how it is lying — one of those colours that looks more interesting the longer you look at it. Available in five sizes XS to XL.
The pile is approximately 2.5cm long, dense and deeply stuffed, covering both the interior and the raised bolster sides in the same tipped Koala fur throughout. The well-stuffed donut sides create the secure, enclosed nest that dogs naturally seek for rest and comfort. The non-slip faux suede base is colour-matched in a warm brown-ivory tone.
Is a donut bed suitable for puppies? It is one of the best possible first beds for a puppy. The enclosed, enveloping shape provides a physical sense of security that helps newly separated puppies settle faster in their first nights in a new home. The soft faux fur mimics the warmth and texture of sleeping against their mother and litter mates. For puppies dealing with separation or new environments, a well-chosen donut bed can make a significant difference to how quickly they settle and how well they sleep.
What size Koala bed do I need? XS (50cm) for toy breeds — Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Mini Dachshund. S (60cm) for small dogs up to around 10kg — Jack Russell, Pug, Westie, Cairn Terrier, King Charles Spaniel. M (70cm) for Beagles, Cocker Spaniels and French Bulldogs. L (80cm) for medium to large dogs including smaller Labradors and Collies. XL (100cm) for larger breeds. Measure your dog curled up and allow for the cushioned bolster.
Is it machine washable? Yes. Whole bed at 30 degrees on a cool delicate cycle. Dry naturally — no tumble dryer. Manipulate the stuffing as it dries, shake when done. Comes back perfectly full and soft.
