Collars

Yorkshire terriers have small fragile necks, we advise buying a soft small puppy collar. These can be made from Soft cowhide leather, tweed or velvet.  Make sure you measure their neck well. 

Coats

They only have a single coat, so they feel the cold. In winter this means they can lose body heat quickly especially if not moving much. Buy a coat and a use of a jumper in Spring and Autumn and in some indoor settings. 

Beds

Again they feel the cold, and they are small so may need the security of a donut dog bed or a bolster bed. 

Blankets

Definitely buy a faux fur or wool blanket for these dogs. They do feel the cold. 

Carriers

Yorkshire terriers are small dogs and therefore a carrier may be useful to walk around town to protect them from other people’s feet and also to keep them warm in colder weather.
