The Heavy Duty Car Boot Protector and Bed by Danish Design is a hardwearing, waterproof-backed boot liner that doubles as a proper dog bed — made in the UK and designed for dogs that travel in the car boot regularly. It protects your boot from mud, scratches and hair while giving your dog a comfortable, padded surface to lie on for the journey.

Most boot liners are just covers. This Danish Design boot bed is lined underneath with a waterproof backing to stop moisture soaking through to the boot floor, padded on top to give your dog proper comfort, and constructed with the durability to handle regular use by working dogs, outdoor dogs and dogs that travel to walks every day. Made at Danish Design’s Leeds factory. Machine washable. Available in two sizes.

Is the Car Boot Protector Bed washable?
Yes. Machine washable. The waterproof backing protects through washing and drying — it does not crack or delaminate with regular use. After washing, the bed can be tumble dried on a low setting or air dried.

What sizes are available?
Two sizes: Standard and Large. The Standard suits smaller hatchback and estate boots. The Large suits larger estate cars, SUVs and 4×4 boots. Measure your boot floor before ordering — the mat should sit flat without needing to fold.

Does this protect against scratches?
Yes. The heavy duty fabric surface resists scratching from claws — far more effectively than a standard car blanket or thin liner. The waterproof backing also means that a wet or muddy dog does not soak through to your boot floor.

Is this suitable for dogs that are anxious in the car?
Familiar bedding can help car-anxious dogs settle. Using the same Danish Design fabric range in the car that your dog is used to at home can make the car feel more familiar and secure.
